What Are The Different Types Of Accumulator Bets?

There are several different types of accumulator bets that you should be aware of. However, there is one thing that each one of these bets have in common. An accumulator bet is a type of bet that includes four options on a one wager. The bet is only profitable when each part of the bet is a winner.

The primary benefit of this type of bet is that the chance of winning is higher, but also the risk is higher. In other words, it only takes one option for the bettor to lose the entire wager.

With non-runners, these returns are added in the same manner as if the accumulator bet did not include the losing option. So, for example, a seven-fold would change into a six-fold. Also, any dead heats for the top position are paid out at decreased odds by using the rules that are in place.

Although accumulator bets are available for every Brazilian sport, it is common for a bookmaker to change the rules on adding options from different sports for one bet. Also note, that betting options from the same sporting event cannot be added onto one accumulator bet. This prevents bettors from attempting to have many wagers on one runner.

Because accumulator bets are all or nothing bets, some bettors like to soften the risk they face by placing different bets on the wager folds. This allows them to receive a return even if all of their options do not win.

The Different Types Of Accumulator Bets

Accumulator bets have at least 4 options or choices. The ones that have less than 4 are similar, but they are called different names. They are as follows:

  • 2 choices – Double
  • 3 choices – Treble
  • 4 choices – Four-Fold
  • 5 choices – Five-Fold
  • 6 choices – Six-Fold

So, a 10 choice or selection would be called a Ten-Fold.

In addition to these different types of accumulator bets, there are other accumulator bets that you should be familiar with.

Trixie Bet

A Trixie bet is very similar to a patent bet. The only difference is that with a Trixie bet, there are not any singles. Instead, there are 3 outcomes that derive from 4 different bets. In other words, the bettor will have 1 treble, and 3 doubles.

Patent Bet

A patent bet is a combination that yields 3 outcomes. These outcomes will give the bettor a total of 7 bets. These bets are in the combination of 1 treble, 3 singles and 3 doubles.

When you have 7 bets, you can choose odds that are 6/1 for your outcomes. With these types of odds, just having one winner in the group will allow you to break even.

Yankee Bet

With a Yankee bet, you do not get singles. These 11 bets include 1 quadruple, 6 doubles and 4 trebles. This is the ideal bet to place when you do not want to place 15 bets (as in Lucky 15) so you are able to decrease your total risk. Keep in mind that even though the risk is lower, you will not win for just one correct bet. This is due to the fact that singles are not allowed in the combination.

On the other hand, by only placing 11 bets, you are able to afford much larger amount of money for each selection.

Super Yankee Bet

This type of bet is similar to the Yankee Bet except there are 5 outcomes instead of 4. As a result, more bets are in the combination.

You will have a total of 26 bets. They are derived from 1 Five-Fold, 10 doubles, 5 Four-Folds and 10 trebles. Typically, the more combinations there are, the more the bet will be diluted.

Heinz Bet

This is a Super Yankee bet on steroids! With a Heinz bet, you are betting across 6 possible outcomes. This means that you will have over 50 bets. These bets will be combinations of Five-Folds, Six-Folds, doubles, Four-Folds and trebles.

When you have a Heine bet, you must remember that you have over 50 bets. You will need 2 outcomes or more out of 6, and the odds will be close to 7/1. These are the odds that you will need if you are looking to profit from the wagers.

Goliath Bet

This bet is not for the faint of heart. This is one huge combination! You will be placing wagers across 8 different outcomes, and this will give you over 240 bets. They are broken down as:

  •  Eight-Fold
  •  Doubles
  •  Four-Folds
  •  Trebles
  •  Five-Folds
  •  Six-Folds
  •  Seven-Folds

You will likely need a minimum of 3 winners from 8 outcomes in order to see a return. You are only betting pennies because of the sheer number of bets that you have. For this bet, you will need to be able to choose 3 outcomes with odds of 7/1 from multiple games each week.

Placing A Bet

It is easy to create an accumulator bet. All you will need to do is add your choices to the betting slip one at a time. Typically, football accumulators are created from matches that occur either during the middle of the week or on weekends. In order to do this, navigate to the football area of the site you are using and look for the competitions or leagues you are interested in. If you are betting locally, you may be able to find coupons that are reserved for accumulator betting.

Many bettors fill in their selections by using the match result football betting market. However, there are other types of bets that can be used. For the match result market, there are three outcomes that are possible and they are:

  • Draw
  • Home team win
  • Away team win

If you do not want to use the football match result option, you can use other types of football markets to create an accumulator bet. For example, you can use Both Teams Score or Over/under.

For those who do not wish to bet on football, there are other sports you can bet on in Brazil such as rugby, baseball, boxing and tennis. You can even bet on American sports.

These are some of the different types of accumulator bets. They are the most common type of bet placed in football, and the returns on the bets can be huge.
